Frustrated by seeing so many people suffer at work, AK realized it’s really hard to be a great boss with the tools we’re traditionally given.

After stumbling through her own early days in management—and watching countless others do the same—she set out to build a better way.

She synthesized 25 years of leadership, education, technology, and practical learning into the Helm Method, a toolkit fostering a Boss Mindset, which empowers self-led and intentional leadership. AK helps individuals, teams, and organizations shift from surviving to thriving.

She’s on a mission to eradicate bad bosses, by cultivating engaged, intentional leaders.  Leaders who merge & hone the intersection of skills and knowledge with mindset & behavior, who lead consciously & daily choose to make a positive impact.

Ditching the fluff, AK advises and teaches leadership mindset with a healthy dose of humor, equipping leaders to bring self-aware behaviors and habits into focus, enabling conscious and courageous decisions and actions, and using their power for the good of themselves and those around them.
